Transkei Tripping

I was fortunate enough to go on a photo trip to the Transkei earlier this year to explore a part of the country i have always wanted to visit. We may not have scored epic waves but it was a really great trip and fun surf was had by everyone. It is truly a beautiful and interesting part of the country. It is also true what they say, the people make the trip and you just need to put Frankie O near a fireplace with a drink in his hand and the classic stories of his Search day with Curren and the boys will come out. Frankie was joined by Bluff surfers Rudy Jnr. and Matt Daniel along with Rory Beach and recent Durban transplant Keegan Nel. My good friend Jason Hearn came along to cover the trip for Boardriders TV, and Brandon Bradley and I covered the story for Zigzag Surfing Magazine.
