Cover of Latest Zigzag
Cover of the latest Zigzag with Dave Weare from our recent trip to Reunion. One of those shots that just got that feeling when i shot it and checked it on the screen. St leu is a great place to shoot and once we had seen our angles i was just waiting and hoping we were going to get one of those afternoons with the clean goldern light. Dave's first cover in 9 years or something so we both super stoked!!!

Awesome photo! Do you shoot planning for cover (portrait), or are a lot of your cover shots landscape cropped?
As I said earlier, best cover in a long time. Well done. I think that takes you into the lead the cover battle lead, haha well done bru.
Hey thanks guys! Darryn, personally i shoot almost all my action surf stuff landscape except maybe pulled back or more line-up stuff which i may swing portrait. Thing with surfing magazines is you don't really get commissioned to shoot an action cover, i think it is the exception if you do. But when the conditions are really good, yes i do have a cover in mind, it's still best to shoot landscape as a cover can be cropped out of a landscape but a center spread or dps AD cant be made out of a portrait. And secondly covers are pretty rare and you don't want to shoot yourself in the foot...
Kelly, get cracking... haha just kidding, we not counting.
Cool, shot for the answer :)
Shot Sheriff, she's a beauty...Anton
Great cover pity about the pic though
